    Default Second Stealing Offense

    My question involves criminal law for the state of: Virginia

    I have a friend who recently stole a bottle of alcohol from a gas station. He was caught but not sent to jail. This is his second offense on stealing alcohol, he was on probabtion when this offense happened. What consequences will he be facing when he goes to court? And does it help that his father is a federal agent and trying to get him a lesser consequence?

    He will be likley face a second ofense of theft and porbation violation. I suspect he will see jail time
