    Default Getting Out of the Lease Before Moving-in

    My husband and I signed the lease to move in Nov 1, but the date was changed to Dec 1 and along with several changes to the contract. I have approved the changes with the initial, but not my husband. He did not want to move this particular house if he could not move on Nov 1. I have wrote a check to the realtor for commission, to the owner (dec rent and 1.5 month deposit) and the checks have already cashed.
    My husband maintains that he did not approve any of the changes and very furious with me. Since he could not move in Nov 1, he has found anohther place and wants me to sign.
    I am trying to find a tenant for the house we have signed, but not sure if I should sign this other place... My husband does not moving in this 1st house, but we need a place to live. I don't know what to do...
    Is my husband not bind to the contract I approved the changes to?

    Please advice...

    It sounds like you would be bound to the lease, even if your husband has a defense based upon his non-approval of the changed move-in date.

    I am bound to the lease, but my husband is NOT? The contract does not require approval from both of us?

    Was that a contingency of the lease?

    Well, the signature section says tenant 1 AND tenannt B.... the owners both signed the lease and initialed the changes. They can only sue ME for the bleach of the contract?
