My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: NYS
I was terminated from my job about a month ago for not revealing my past criminal history on my job application. Now, the application asked if I had ever been convicted of a crime within the last 10 years from the date I was applying. I was hired and worked for the company 4 years. By the way, I was actually hired twice by the company. The convictions were more than the time limit asked about. Do I have a legitimate employment discrimination complaint or can they do this? Was I legally required to reveal those convictions even though there were more than 10 years ago? Thnx.
