Default Condo Pool Gates Locked In Florida

Our condo assoc. has installed deadbolts on the pool gates that require a common key. The key is necessary for both getting in and getting out. I understand controlling getting into the pool area...but isn't there some type of safety issue with requiring the key to get out?

Your best bet is to find out from "code enforcement" for your area whether there are any regulations pertaining to this issue. There might or might not be.

If not, and if it is still of great concern to you, you can always take it up with the mangement company or the HOA. Just tell them you feel real nervous about not being able to get out. If it's important enough, you can always start a petition drive.
