My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of California:
I have been at my job for 2 years. Due to declining business, my work load was reduced from 40 hrs/week to 32 hrs/week about 3 months ago (with a 20% pay cut). Since then, my employer informed me that at the end of May my work load will again be reduced to "as needed" basis (and paid on an as needed basis) through July/until my work closes it's local office.
My question is this: If I do not agree to continue working on an "as needed" basis, will I still be eligible for unemployment insurance?
