My question involves child support in the State of: Florida
I have been going through an administrative proceeding through the Florida DOR. I recently got the amount back and some interesting things to say the least.
Apparently my ex girlfriend received the paperwork, and didn't fill out any of it. Of course, she did this on purpose because she knew they would check the system to find out her reported earnings that were most current...well they did and they found her reporting some job that she made "$1036/month" at...And that's the job she put down on her public assistance paperwork June 2006(the same public assistance she went and sold on Ebay for profit...but that's another story.)
I'm requesting an administrative hearing.(DUH) What's going to happen here? Can anyone tell me what I should be prepared for? I have a statement from her that I printed that says she is trying to work at a hospital within 2-3 weeks and that was the end of March. And I have a post from her stating she has a part time nanny position. I know that she conveniently waited to get a job that would report income for when CS was through being calculated...
And just a little background, when this process initially started, she sent me an e-mail saying she wanted this process to stay out of court because it would be easier on all of us. I guess she counted on me being stupid, as well...And of course, it would be easier for her to not have to participate whatsoever.
Will she be there for the hearing? Will she be required to prove her income there at the hearing? What if she doesn't show up?
It's weird because I'm the noncustodial parent and I've been 100% cooperative and the only thing she filled out for them was the application....sad and pathetic...her M.O.
As always, thank you VERY much for your responses, they're always helpful. Be sure to keep answers direct, but detailed (as obviously I haven't been through this before.) and leave out personal comments as they aren't helpful!![]()
