My question involves a traffic citation from the state of: Iowa.
I go to a high school where administrators hand out parking tickets to students who park illegally in the school parking lot. They give you a ticket which says it is for ten dollars and then the ten dollars is crossed out and they write 25 dollars in in pen. I tried to appeal my ticket with school administration within the two day requested time period. The lady at the school front desk sent me to the principal who sent me back to the front desk lady. She then sent me to a different principal who said he will look into it. I also asked if I could speak with me accuser because I received the ticket on a Monday for parking "illegally" on a Friday. The principals said due process does not matter because this isn't a criminal matter. I was just wondering if this is true that due process does not matter and if since I tried to appeal in the correct amount of time and they really do not have an appeal process since they have to have one in place which they don't. What I can do fight this more than I already have? And if anyone could answer any of the questions I had that would be great!
Thanks you
