    Default California Speeding Ticket

My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: California

last night at 2 a.m on the 605 n. i got pulled off the freeway and received a ticket for going 102 mph. its 22348 (b) infraction. i know i was not going over 100 but i don't think there's any way in arguing that.

just wondering what i should expect to pay. anyway i can somehow be able to attend traffic school even though its a 2 point violation.. and is getting the 30 day license suspension guaranteed?

thanks for any info i can get.

Suspension is a given, traffic school is not an option for 2 point violations and your car insurance is going to go sky high. The fine amount last I checked is $200 plus penalty assessments, which will run you just about $700.

    Congratulations.

Well, Bucky, I don't think much of anything is a "given". Considering the seriousness of your mistake, I think it would be a good idea to consult an attorney about this one....and I rarely advise that in routine traffic matters.

Now, CourtClerk, your signature has been bothering me because it makes no sense. A 'baby' is singular but 'them' is plural. Your second sentence is even more unusual but a 'parent' is singular (and I assume you're referring to the other parent) but 'them' is still plural. If you change both 'thems' to 'him', it will be grammatically correct, (although there is still confusion as to whether the procreation occurred with the baby or with the other parent). Don't be afraid to use the word 'he'; in English, you would be correct in doing so.

You can let my signature bother you. Doesn't bother me at all if you're bothered by it. If you would like to have my siggy worded in a different way, feel free to copy it, make it yours, then you can word it any way you please.

Some people are satisfied with lower standards than others (which, in the total scheme of things, is no doubt good). Since it shows up on every response you send, I thought you might appreciate knowing how poorly it's written. I won't mention it again.

Since this thread has nothing to do with my signature and since it is bothering you personally, is there anything wrong with the PM function?

You know... you use that when you want to tell someone something that is not of any relevance to the thread... .

I agree that the way I chastised you was in poor taste and I'm sorry. It shan't happen again and I should have chosen the proper course of addressing what I find to be a constant irritation that has resulted from political correctness. People are terrified of using the words "he" or "him" but avoiding their usage oftentimes totally confuses the meaning of what's intended.

I still like you....... a lot!

I still like you too..... (even more than you like me) - and I just may make a slight modification.

I didn't use he or him because I've found that the whole TPR issue is being spread out amongst the masses now. It's not just the women trying it, it's the men too with their new girlfriends and wives who think that moms are just as easily replaceable.

Uhhh... I'm glad we actually answered the OP's question before we went WAYYYY off topic.

Ooooooh, do I detect a romance brewing? (How's that for getting off topic?)

Can I be the best man or the mate of honor?
