My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Florida

A few years ago, we co-signed for a motorcycle for our son, of course he didn't make the payments and we now have the bike and the payments. Just recently we paid it all off (within the last ten days), except for a $103.00 balance.

Just this week we found out the son is being sued for another credit card bill nothing to do with the bike, for what was a $1,000 credit line that they now are going after nearly $2500 by the attorny for the credit card company.

It'll take a few weeks before the title for the bike to come if we pay off the last hundred dollars owed and have it sent to our address.

My question is if they get a judgement for the credit card debt, can they take the bike that we had to pay off as co-signers -or if we get the title in time and get him to transfer the title over to us, can they go after him for signing it over to us, while he knew he was being sued?

Kids! They just never listen! The interest rate on the bike was nearly 22% we had to pay it off...

Thanks for any advice offered!
