My question involves labor and employment law for the state of:Connecticut

My wife stared her job on Dec10th 2007. We are expecting a baby and the due date is Nov 3 2008. She is not eligible for FMLA at the due date as she would not complete 12 months of employment.

She is planning to use her vacation + sick (@15) days during the birth of the child.

Can she take FMLA after Dec 11 to care for the child?

Would this fall under the "birth and care of new born" clause?
