    Default Emancipation

Hello, I am here for my friend he is sixteen and he wants to get emancipated? The question is, is his situtation gonna let him do that? Right now he has been accepted int Job Corps, but he does not leave for a while. He has a steady job, and somewhere that he could live if he was emancipated but he has to drop out of school as a part of going to Job Corps. His mother is not the kind of person that is going to let him just walk out, but then again she is not really supporting him other than some food and a roof over his head. He pays for his clothes and gives his mom money, he even buys his siblings clothes. He is the middle child and is treated differently and that hurts him a lot. I think that his case is a good one but will he be able to do it or not? He basically does take care of himself so what should he do?

    Emancipation laws vary by state.
