My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Virginia
We are moving out in June 19, 2008 of this House, Now what you need to know is this person im about to describe is the Owners Daughter and all she does is come by and collect the rent, and the owner is 80 years old and stage 1 alzheimer's and her boyfriend is taking care of her.
The Women came by to collect the rent and my wife told her that we are moving in June, and she told her that there is 1000+ damage to the house and her Boyfriend and did a house inspection, and she had did this on a day we where not here plus she did not, gives us a 24 hour notice of the inspection.
(I plan on typing up a 30 day notice starting the 1st of june and handing it in)
But this place is not under documents as an house its considered as a garage and is stated on paper, plus the apartments around are documented as chicken coups, and the apartments are being sold to buy the Owners house up top back do to some unpaid mortgages. We have no lease here there is no documention of a lease her and the lady who collects the rent says we have no lease, And in court the Social Services stated this house was sub-slandered house.
the Rent Collector wants us to pay her the whole month of june of 400$ rent or we need to leave on june 1st.
