Default Tenant Broke Lease And Wants Deposit Back

My question involves a security deposit in the State of: california

Tenant moved out prior to end of lease and in the middle of the month, but did give 30 day notice. I was unable to rent the home and lost 2 weeks of rent. Am I entitled to keep the 2 week loss from the tenant's security deposit?

Yes. The deposit is meant to cover damages and unpaid rent.
