    Question Housing After Emancipated

My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Florida

If I become emancipated when I turn 16 (with one petitioning parent, and one non petitioning), but I don't have a self-sufficient housing situation, would I be able to live with the cooperating parent? It is a private housing affair between two legal adults at that point so there shouldn't be any problems should there?

In FL its the parent who petitions for emancipation with only one parent doing so I suspect other will object? Living with a parent (or anyone) hardly meets criteria of self support and nothing you have posted even suggest you even have a shot at successful emancipation. Less than 1% are successful in these attempts and if you really want to know facts read teh secon link in my siguture line. A very (if not most) responsible wise teen I have ever met posted this blog. Its about his successful emancipation and the troubles that followed. I put link on my signature line because its tells a heartbreaking tale by a teen who did emancipate

No. You have to be able to provide your own housing, utilities, food, transportation, ect without any help. Help includes living with family, friends or a room mate.
