    Default Hidden Assets

My question involves divorce in the State of: Texas

I have been divorced for over 7 years. I tried to divorce amicably, and we wrote up our own property settlement, however, whenever I brought up my ex's Retirement and Savings fund, he refused to discuss it or include it. Each time he gave a different dollar amount, although I know that 10 months prior to our final divorce he had over $100,000 in the account.

A friend of mine tells me that since I had no legal counsel and my ex did not disclose the property, nor share it in the divorce, I could take him back to court for division of hidden assets. Is this correct?

Yes, provided the statute of limitations for re-opening a divorce case has not run.

You'll want to consult an attorney as soon as possible.
