I'm not a gambler. My wife got a speed cite last year ... we could have fought it and hoped for a no-show or played tricky games, but we opted to go with traffic school instead. Plus, she did - in fact - commit the offense.

Under the circumstances, I'd take traffic school if it's available to you. In my county, it wouldn't be (based upon my observations) but you might ask the court clerk how it usually works in your area.
Hmm yea. Maybe the next time I'm down in that area I can stop by and ask them what they think. I mean if I did plead not guilty, and then the cop shows to the trial, would my only argument to being "not guilty" be that I don't think I was going quite that fast, so I would like to request traffic school?
Eh... we'll see how all this goes.
Well, I just got my notice today, and there is a nice fat fine of $401.Anywho, I just figured I'd check in for any last minute feedback, I really just want to be honest and go to court, admit that I was speeding, but that I feel I would benefit from traffic school. Do you think this will work? Or by admitting to the speeding, am I already giving up my chance at traffic school? I know that the judge can still issue it even when the citation is for 25+ over, but just curious as to what some opinions are on the chances that he will allow it...
Thanks again.
