I had my car keys stolen from inside my workplace, and my car stolen. I have a large shortfall from the insurance company.
Do I have any legal standing to get compensation from my employer?

Probably not. How was your employer responsible for the keys being stolen?
I would have thought that personal property within a workplace should be secure. The workplace should have control over who is allowed access to the building.
I know I'm pulling at straws, but am convinced that they should admit to some responsiblity. How would I go about finding out if I have a case? Thanks
