Did a dumb thing the other night. Bought softner salt and took more bags than I paid for. As I was getting into my car, I noticed an employee had just come out of the store. He didn't move toward me or anything, so I don't think he was observing me. Wouldn't he have stopped me if he suspected something?

I drove away, but the guilt was too much and I went back within 20 minutes and paid for the remaining bags I had taken, fully expecting someone to accuse me of what I had done. The same clerk checked me out the second time and chit chatted with me as if nothing was wrong. I suspect they don't even know I took the stuff, but I have non-stop guilt.

I am thinking I just need to let it ride, since I did go back and pay, although I obviously didn't tell her I had taken those remaining bags.
