    Default CVC Sec. 22107

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California
My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California
I was getting of the freeway and I need to go right so I kept my right and turn right. then when I need to change lanes because I need to make left turn, so I turn my signal on and wait for a safe space merge which I did, I saw a police car on the other line, so I saw the safe space I merged. Then I need to change lane again I was still with my signal on so when i saw the safe space I change lane there was a truck on the other line (there was no honk horn, breaking shrieked, nothing) Well I continue my driving and then I went to my left lane ( to make my left turn ) the light was red, and while I was waiting the police car was behind me. when the light turn green I made my turn and he turn on his lights, I pulled over in a parking lot, he ask me for my drivers license and my registration and my insurace, well I ask him why he pulled me over and he said he will tell me after I show him what he request. Well I gave him my ID becuase I did not have my license with me, and after he run my id he told me that he pulled me over because I cut him off. I said that I did not do that. And then he said that I did the same when I change the lane again. I am sure I did not do that. first of all I saw the police car behind me on the other line, how come I am going to cut him off. I would be crazy, I waited with my signal on and then changed my lane.
I need to know I have a chance to fight this citation. I feel this really unfair.

Quote Quoting CVC 22107 - Turning Movements and Required Signals
No person shall turn a vehicle from a direct course or move right or left upon a roadway until such movement can be made with reasonable safety and then only after the giving of an appropriate signal in the manner provided in this chapter in the event any other vehicle may be affected by the movement.
To fight the citation at a hearing, you would convince the court that despite the officer's testimony, you signaled properly and did not make lane changes until it was reasonably safe.
