My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: WA
We are a horse riding club who has a tenant living on our property rent-free. The contract was to not charge rent as long as he was doing work on the property. That contract ended and we are currently on a month to month agreement with him. He has been given 90 days to vacate the property. That notice is coming up and we would like to give him an addtional60 days to move off and after 30 days of the 60 we will begin to charge him rent. Is 30 days the legal time we can do this? In this new notice do we need to put in there that after the 60 days he will be asked to leave the property immediately. We are hoping by starting to charge him rent it will modivate him to move quicker.
