My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Ohio
SD is senior in high school, turned 18 last June...
Do we need to petition for legal emancipation with CSEA (child support) or will this happen automatically?
Thanks in Advance..

This should be covered in your child support order.
What does it say?
Order states 18 or graduation from HS...however, SD should have graduated last year..but did not...she turned 18 at the end of the school year and will be 19 at the end of this one...
SD is pregnant and due on graduation day and it isn't clear yet whether she will graduate or not..communication is difficult at best....
We understand that the childbirth is not an emancipating event...however, we are unclear on whether we need to petition for CS to stop at 19 or graduation...in the event she does NOT graduate....do we have to wait to see if she will decide to try yet ANOTHER year of high school...?
Her mother has teetered on the edge of being charged with educational neglect for the last 7 years of SD's school career...
Contact the Attorney who handled the support order. If no Attorney file a motion with court for modification see what judge says
