I'm sorta confused on this one. I signed a lease up until July 2008 with a property managment company. My ex boyfriend ended up moving out so I gave my thirty day notice only because I found a house with the same property managment company that was cheaper to rent since I was no longer getting ex bf's share of half the rent.
I gave them a deposit to hold the house and two weeks later they called me and told me the owner of the house no longer wants to use it as a rental but they want to put it on the market. So I got my deposit back.
I had planned on staying here for another month until I can find a new place, but in the meantime, the property managment company already advertised this place and they have re rented it. I told them to disregard my thirty day notice as the rental was unavailable.
I'm still locked into a lease and I am wondering if they can re rent it to someone else even though I've decided to stay here for another month?
It's like I'm being kicked out but I have not yet found another rental. The state this is in is Idaho.
