    Default Driveway Issue

    Hi,
I live in New Hampshire. The last ten feet or so of my driveway runs across our neighbors property. It has been that way for over twenty-five years. The people that just bought the property that our driveway crosses now wants to reclaim that land. Do I have any recourse, i.e. right of way or adverse possession. . Any help would be appreciated. I do intend to contact a lawyer but I wanted to know up front if I have any legal remedies. Thanks very much......Gary
p.s. The neighbors property and my property were originally one property and was sub-divided 30 years ago.

They can't take your driveway from you. You can contact an attorney and have him write them a letter. Your better option is to pay them a little and get a deed for that portion of the property. It will save a lot of problems when it comes time to sell and make for better relations with your new neighbors.
