Default Background Checks While Charges are Pending

I have a question. My brother was charged with a felony almost a year ago but has not yet been convicted. The pre-trial keeps being rescheduled, etc...so no plea agreements or trials have been finalized. Since he is looking for a job, will the "charges" show up on a typical employee background check? I've heard only "convictions" do. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

    Default Employment Background Check

His arrest might show up, as might the pending charge, but as he hasn't been convicted there would not be a conviction (from this particular offense) on his record.
