Default Disputed Insurance Claims In Indiana

My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Indiana

My insurance company did not respond to my phone calls disputing payment of some of my late husband's medical bills. Now they are stating it has been over 2 years and it is their policy even though they did make a mistake on the claims not to pay claims over 2 years old. How can they do this when we had been calling them repeated over the years disputing the claims and they did not respond.

Start by sending a letter (certified RRR) to you state Insurance Commission. Give them specifics (as much information as possible) and send copies of the explanation of benefits that are wrong. At the very least, the insurance company will have to respond to the Insurance Commission's inquiry.
