Default Retail Fraud Charge - Friend Stole Something

The police have to have a basis for their charge, which should be reflected in the police report. You should obtain a copy of the police report from the prosecutor who is handling the case, or directly from the police department, so you can understand why you were charged. You should consider retaining an attorney, or petitioning for a court-appointed attorney if you are short of funds.
