My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: CA
Hi Everyone,
I have a question in regards to legal representation for a speeding violation in CA (Lamont, CA to be exact).
I have had a lawyer quote me around $550 for a consultation as well as representation for the trial only. He states that the $550 does not include representation for the arraignment but for him to do a written request for the arraignment. He states that if he does go to court for both the arraignment and the trial than it will be $250 more.
This is the first time I ever had to deal with this situation and am not familiar with what works best. Should I have him do the written request? Go in myself for the arraignment than have him defend me for the trial? Or have him handle everything altogether? Any help or input would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!
