    Default Parents Rights In Emancipation

    My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Oklahoma

    My son has just turned 17.
    He stays with his girlfriend, does not go to school and her parents let him drink, smoke and do drugs.
    We have called the police and gone to court but nothing is being done to straighten him or these "people" out.
    We were advised that maybe we should emancipate him so that we are not held liable for his actions before he turns 18.

    is this an option?
