Default Landlord's Problem with Dog Poop

live in an apartment with a 13 month lease. I have a small dog, under 10 lbs that was a part of the lease signing in the pet addendum. In the addendum it states that leasees are required to pick up after their pets when taking them to the "bathroom." I am fine with this and do agree with it wholeheartedly. I have adhered to this policy without fail. However, many other renters have not....thus the management is not happy. So, we rec'd notice today that (and I quote) "anyone found not picking up after their pet will receive notice that the pet must be removed from the premises." I understand where they are coming from. However, I am concerned. Can a staff member just "say" one day...."I saw ______ not picking up after their pet today." Is that all that it takes? Just some staff members word?? What if the staff member is weird or dishonest? Don't get me wrong. I agree with and will adhere to the policy, but this seems a little scary to me. What are the legalities with this?

    Default Potential Problem with Landlord

To one degree or another, a "weird" or dishonest employee of the landlord can always create problems for tenants. Yes, the deceit of such an employee might inspire the landlord to try to kick out the dog of an innocent tenant, and it might be difficult to convince the landlord that the accusation was not true.
