    Default Fired for Misconduct

I was fired for misconduct not related to my job performance. Can I still get unemployment benefits in IL?

    Default Unemployment Insurance After Termination

That's hard to say without some detail; but you can always apply for benefits and see what happens.

    True...I did.

When interviewers ask me: why did you leave your last job?

Would an appropriate response be: "they made some staffing decisions and decided to let me go."

Then go into how others have left.
