Default Getting My Girlfriend To The USA For Marriage

I want to have my girlfriend come to the US so we can get marry.

I only make 8k a year for the last 3 years on 1044. I started my new full time job, gross salary is $420 a week or net around $340.

Do Immigration use Gross salary or net salary for the income requirements for an Affidavit of Support?

My 2008 income would be $13440 (April to Dec 08) which is under the income requirement on paper, do I still have to get sponsor from others or they would look at my pay stub and calculate my 2009 total is enough?

Does the length of my job important in this case?

Do you think I should wait until the end of 2008 to apply?

How many year of 1044 do I have to sumbit?

You report your gross wages. Beyond that, the concern is that you are employed at that wage, and that you otherwise have sufficient resources to support your fiancée.
