    Question Social Security Death Benefits To Minor Children

    How does the law work??? I have shared joint permanent custody of my children with the grandparents. Their son passed away and they are collecting all survivour benefits, what can I do???

    Go to your local Social Security office.

    Expect a thorough security check by the guards; take two forms of identification, one a picture ID.

    Bring ALL information you have on the kids and their pa.

    Expect a three hour visit.
