My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Vermont
I am post bankruptcy (almost a year) actually, and my vehicle loan (lease) was kept out of it and I still am making regular payments, but have not yet caught up past due which is approx. 2 payments. Also, I am always late on payments (though make them in the required month) so keep accruing late fees. Though they have not made attempts to repo car and my car is parked in an open lot (so is not hidden), but I fear that step may be imminent and I am actually considering voluntarily letting the car go to repo as it's so hard to maintain it and make ends meet, but, if I do, if I call the auto loan co. and request they take the car back, what can I expect? Will I still owe past due, will I accrue more fees? Can legal action be taken against me? What are the possible scenarios?
Thanks.
