Default Early Termination Of A Lease

I have been renting an apartment in NH. I informed my landlord that I would be moving out early. She said she would use the security deposit for the next month of rent and then if she couldn't find a replacement tenant, I would have to pay rent until she did. I had moved my things out, but then went to the apartment, and found that the locks had been changed. Am I responsible for paying rent to an apartment that I can't get into? She also never gave me a copy of the lease.

    Default Breaking the Lease

You terminated the tenancy and vacated the premises, and it would be standard procedure for a landlord to then change the locks. Your liabiity for rent is governed by your lease agreement.
