    Default Marijuana Possession In Michigan

I was parked on the side of the road last week when a police car pulled over in Macomb County. Cop said there was disturbances in the area, and searched the car. Found a bowl in there with resin which I was unaware of; I had obviously not been smoking and was charged with possession. There was also no amount of marijuana seized from the car if it makes a difference.

Obviously my system is clean, and I have a clean record. Advice? I'm a full time student and was just about to get hired to pay off loans, and honestly can't afford an attorney with school and other necessities. I'm assuming that pleading guilty is the best route here, but some advice would be welcome regardless as far as what to do and what I'm looking at. Thanks for any and all help.

You say you "obviously" had not been smoking and "obviously" your system is clean and that you were unaware of the bowl.

Is the bowl yours or not? If it is not, why would you plead guilty? Plead Not Guilty and ask for a PD.

    Michigan penalties are here.
