Default Refused a Promised Company Car

I went to work for a dealership who told me after 90 days employment,I would receive a demo or company car.I left a job with a demo to come here.2 other guys who started a week before me received there demo,so after 100 days,I asked my boss about my demo.4 days later,he came to my office and said that because of the medication I take for a back injury that I cannot have a demo.My point is this, when I took the drug test,I passed.I have insurance through my wife,so they have no access to my medical records. My doctor is willing to sign a form stating I am not taking any meds that would affect my ability to drive a vehicle. They say I can drive their cars to test drive customers and move them around, but am uninsurable for a demo.I find this hard to believe.
    Can anyone help.

    Thank You,
    RickyD.

    Default Problem with Insurance

It seems axiomatic that the dealership is not going to let you drive a vehicle if their insurance won't cover you. Whether or not this is reasonable depends upon many things, including the nature and amount of the medication at issue. You should consider consulting with a plaintiff-side employment lawyer in your state, with whom you can discuss your situation and medical condition in detail.

Thank you for your reply.I know it is obvious they cannot let me drive a vehicle if their insurance refuses coverage. However, they do allow me to drive vehicles in every other circumstance other than to have a demo, which every other sales person has. This is my issue. They don't have access to my medical records or any other reason why I would be uninsurable.Isn't this illegal?

    Thank You
    RickyD.
