Exclamation Help With Response To Summons

I live in Arkansas and recently received a summons stating I was being sued for failure to pay my credit card.I am to respond within 20 days and I don't know what or how to proceed. I have not made a payment in about 3 years. I cannot afford an attorney and I'm not sure what to do.

Default Re: Help With Response To Summons

You need to answer the complaint as instructed on the documents you received, or you will get a default judgment entered against you. You may try to negotiate a payoff with the plaintiff's law firm. Depending on the amount you owe, you may wish to consult a bankruptcy lawyer.
