Post Does A Ticket Mean A Minor Offense?

I am from mpls, minnesota. i was at a friends house watching movies. he is 21 and gave me a mixed drink. i do not know the amount of alcohol in it. i fell asleep in his room and awoke to find my pants missing and him groping me. i was very confused and asked what was going on, as i did not remember giving him permission to do anything. he was very inebriated and became very defensive, subsequently yelling at me and asking me to leave. i dressed and attempted to leave the premises at which point he got in the driver's side of my car and refused to let me leave. he threatened to call the police and i walked back in the house. apparently he had called the cops and they arrived. i was given a breathalizer and later found that i blew a .08. i am eighteen and was issued a ticket with the fine of $175. i have paid the fine, but i am wondering if this will show up on my record as a minor, and also if i should press charges about what occurred when i was passed out. thank you for your time.

You can look up the exact charge on the ticket to find out the nature of the offense charged. From that, it's possible to determine how it is likely to show up on a criminal records search.

Why didn't you make your report to the police at the time? If you want to file a police report, sooner is better than later.

No it will not, you are not a minor, you are 18. You may have a minor in possession ticket, do confuse the "minor" part as being a juvenile, the "minor" part refers to being illegal to posses alcohol and being under 21. If you paid the fine, you have an adult record of this. We can't help with more unless we know what you were charged with exactly.
As far as the second part, yes call the police right away.
