OK-
we own our own business- a corporation in Mich. We had to file last year and the corp surrendered all assets to the first secured creditor. The Corp owed us a large sum of money- now the trustee has hired an attorney to go after the corp for the money we were owed. The corp ceised operations 5 months ago- we had our meeting of the creditors and got the discharge in Jan. after the discharge this "other" attorney starting reviewing our file and asking questions. We answered them and have co-operated all along.
Has anyone been through this before? In addition he is asking about our vacation home and the home we are surrendering- stating that there is/was equity- with our market here both properties have more owed on them than the market can support- by many thousands.....we are trying to do a deed in lieu on both properties but am now scared to as this guy is asking about them....nothing in writing yet........
This whole thing has been such a nerve wracker for me- I knew it was complicated because of the business - and I am a very anal individual and do not do well in things I cannot control--
anyway- sorry to blab, but I am looking for any advice.....
we are in Michigan.
thanks all--
