Default Statute Of Limitations For Debt Collection Tx

I am owed money ($2,000) by a pro sports team located outside of TX. I invoiced the team almost 3 years ago and they refuse to pay, and in fact the team denies any association with me. ( I have documentation that my invoice is legit including a printout of their website with my mentioning my name as a suppplier of goods).

My question- what is the statute of limitations for my claim? It says on the dallas county website the statute of limitations for small claims is 2-4 years, but there are no details. I understand I will need to have the team served properly (I have their agent for service info etc out of state) and that I will likely need to seize their property when the team returns to Dallas. (The team does not play here every year)

    thanks,
    S
