    Default Consequences of Shoplifting

i would like to know what my consequences will be.
i was with two of my friends shopping and as we were walking out of the store, the lady employed stopped us and found shirts in my friends purse. She took all of our purses and told us to take a seat. Items from other stores were found in my other friends and myself's purses. The security guy from the mall came, then two police officers.

Our parents were called. Everything was reported, and we had to go to each individual store to return the items and get prices. After that long process was complete, we rode in the squad cars to the police station were my mom picked me up. We got our tickets, and said we were going to be charged with theft.

I am just 16 years old. They told my mom (when they were talking on the phone) that i seemed to be the leader of the pack. I find this incredibly untrue. To me, it seems like i am the only one taking seriously and am really concerned about it. I am on the Honor Roll, am in sports and extra things, have a job, etc. I am always standing up for what i believe in, and i made one incredibly stupid mistake.

    Question:
What do you think will happen?
They told us that we will get informed on our court date, or may not have one at all.
I just want to know what will happen. The worst or least amount of charges.

Because there was multiple stores you stole from you could be charged with felony buglary. You should seek a consultation with a criminal defense Attorney as soon as possible

We dont know what charge(s) the DA will seek we cannot guess! As I stated they could seek Burglary charges because it was multiple stores. You need to consult a criminal defense Attorney in your area
