    Default Shoplifting at Hannaford Supermarkets

    hi,
some days back i shoplifted at hannaford - amerchandise of about 28$. the LP caught me and called the police. I gave them correct address and name but didnt give them my SSN and correct DOB.I was issued a court date on 30th of dec.
Today i received a mail from hannford to pay a fine of 86$.
Iam really tensed and want to know what will happen if i pay the fine and restrain from going to the court on the said date.
i dont want to fall into all this court and police matters...i have learnt my lesson the hard way and will never ever do it again.

    Default Skipping a Court Date

If you don't go to court as required, a bench warrant will be issued for your arrest. If you provided false information to the police about your identity, that could possibly lead to additional charges.
