How To Get Emancipated

Hi, im about a month short of 17 and want to move to the state of washington. However my mom wants to stay behind. I have two responsible adults up there who would help me in parts that i don't understand. For the last four months that i have had my job i have been helping my mom pay for the internet since i use it and buy groceries. I can't just transfer my guardian-ship however because my biological father *who has landed himself in prison AGAIN* has made it difficult for me in the past. How would i go about getting emancipated?

The best and easiest way for you to achieve emancipation would be to turn 18.

i only want partial emancipation from my biological father, actually. My mom is okay with me moving to washington. Its just that we are afraid that the "bio" might cause problems even though he is in prison. I have family and friends who would let me stay with them up there.

Tierra, that is not how emancipation works.

You cannot be emancipated from just one parent, and as I have told other kids with the same question, the fact that you even ask that question is proof that you do not really understand what is meant by emancipation.
