    Default Joint Tenancy And Bankruptcy

    State: Washington.
My family (5 members) own a house in Canada in Joint Tenancy. All five are on the deed and mortgage.
My brother is considering bankruptcy here in WA and we are concerned that the house in Canada could be taken.

Approximately, the house is worth about $300,000 and the mortgage is about $200,000.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I think I did not ask clear questions.
More specifically: Can creditors force us to sell?
My brother's debt is about 18,000.00.
How likely is it that they could sell his 'portion' to an outsider?
