    Default Chapter 13 Bankruptcy

Can you amend your bankruptcy plan to include debts that occurred after you filed. For instance medical bills that are high and you can't afford to pay them because all of your disposable income is going to the plan.

    please advise.

Technically you can only include pre-petition debt, however I have done amendments for medical debts as you described, but only as long as the creditor is agreeable to the debt being put into the plan. If you make the amendment and the creditor does not agree with it, they can object to the amended plan because it's post-petition debt. Talk to your attorney about these issues.
