Default Concerns Of Health, Home, And Chapter 7

How many years prior to bankruptcy can I sell my home to a friend, and still not have them take it?

If the sale is in good faith and for fair market value, then it would not matter when it is done in terms of the Trustee looking at it as a something fraudulant or preferential. If you are wanting to sell it for less than fair market value you will need to check on the look back period which may be different for your state, which you didn't name.
