    Question Interstate Child Support

Where do you go to get help when your state child support enforcement unit will not assist in pursuing your case?

The (3) things that are needed:

    Issue a warrant
Register the case with the NCP State
File with the court for a hearing on nonpayment of support

    My cases background...

I live in NJ, NCP in PA. He has paid approx. 600 in the last three years, and currently owes 14,000 in arrears. Last payment September 2007.

I have spoken to my caseworker who will not answer questions, nor will she register the case in PA.

I have spoken to her supervisor, who investigated and found nothing was done on my case for 2+ months - this included NCP address and job changes that I had advised them on. The supervisor said she had this problem with this particular caseworker for a long time, however she cannot do anything about it because they are shorthanded.

After another 2 months nothing still had been done, so I had spoken with the administrative offices, and the Senator of Nothern NJ for assistance. The caseworker and her supervisor will not respond to the Senator, and the admin office will not return phone calls either. Of course this is not a priority for the senator's office, so I am on the back burner.

The last time my caseworker returned my phone call was in November of 2007.

I have tried to be proactive, and try to register with PA myself, however I am not allowed to do it.

So, where do I go for help?
