Hello,
I have been a residence since 2001, and i have filled the N-400 in Dec, 2006. During the five years prior to filing the N-400, i been In and Out of the country a lot (maybe about 7 -9 times), but never stayed out of the country more than 6 months at a time. The only proof that i had that shows that i never stayed out of the country for more than six months at a time is my Non-US Passport. The problem is that i lost that passport. The new passport does not have any information on when i left and entered the country. I have listed that information on my N-400 application, but i don’t have an actual proof that i never stayed out of the country for more than six months.
My questions are; 1-how does losing a Non-US Passport that shows my entry and leaving the country affect my application for naturalization? and 2- does the US government have another way to find out how long i have stayed out, if so what is it? I know that they stamp your Non-US Passport on entry, but do they have accurate information on when i left the country, and how long i stayed out?
Thank you for your help in advance.
Sam
