Default Minnesota Roommate, Verbal Agreement, Leaving Without Notice

My roommate movied in 5 months ago and we agreed to a trial period of two months before a I would add her to the lease. She wasn't working so I held off taking a deposit and having her sign the lease. We agreed she could commit to six months and about a month and a half ago after a disagreement she said in anger she would move out. I asked when, she said she didn't know. I asked her about it two days ago and she said she had found a place and would be leaving at the end of this month.
So, no security, no lease. Do I have recourse?

    Do I have recourse?
Small claims, though if you have nothing at all in writing, it will be difficult.
