I am currently on probation in both North Carolina and Virginia. I have a job that i desperately want to keep located in Arizona. I have initiated the trasnfer process in both states and am currently waiting on reporting instructions. My case is somewhat unique, if i am not in Arizona by a specific date I lose that amazing job. To speed up the process, my PO in Virginia asked for a letter from my employer stating the sense of urgency in allowing the transfer and that if i am not there by a certain date i lose the job.
Well in the letter, there was a sentence that was interpreted by the Arizona DOC that I have been living in AZ. Which I had to admit I had illegally. However that same sentence can be interpreted differently and Virginia in fact vouched for it.
What I would like to know is that during a interstate probation transfer....will the receiving state reach out to you employer and ask them questions about you? I want to know that with this issue on the letter, will Arizona call my boss and ask him if I have been living in Arizona?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
